Building AI agents, products and the systems around them.
AI & full-stack engineer in Erlangen. Currently at Jessyworks, studying AI at FAU.
01Experience
Teaching software to do a tax firm’s bookkeeping.
An autonomous system that checks documents, understands the context and books straight into DATEV. I work across the stack, mostly on the AI and the automation behind it.

faster document extraction, after rebuilding it to run in parallel
~30%
more accurate booking, after moving the LLM steps to DSPy

Things I built
- A testing agent for desktop automationRuns a changed script on a real machine, reports back with evidence, and learns the routes between screens.
- An agentic ticket-to-PR workflowFacts from production through a privacy gate, and pull requests that prove their claims.
- The invoice pipeline, end to endExtract, map to the chart of accounts, book, and say why when something is skipped.
- The admin dashboard, from an empty repoLogin, roles, booking rules, client settings and the deploy pipeline.

Things I built
- A three-month frontend overhaulNew architecture, framework code split from business logic, a team Git workflow. It earned my second Achiever of the Month.
- A design system with three themesNew screens took about half the time, and looked the same everywhere.
- Payments, end to endFund transfer, bill payments, QR payments, Payoneer and Tap & Pay.

02About
Who am I, what do I build, and why?
Hi, I'm Mahad 👋🏽 I started out in Karachi, studying computer science at FAST and then spending almost three years at Techlogix on a banking app used by more than two million people. That's where I learned the unglamorous half of the job: software has to work for everyone, every time, not only in the demo.
Then I moved to Erlangen for an M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence at FAU, and to Jessyworks, where AI isn't a demo either. It reads real documents for real tax firms and books them, so most of my time goes into the parts around the model: checks, tests, and tools that explain what they did.
I believe in small, honest software. Code that is easy to delete, workflows that prove their claims, and agents that know when to hand a decision to a person. I'd rather ship one thing that holds up than ten that impress for a week.
Away from the keyboard I'm usually experimenting with new tech, gaming on my PC, or reading up on hardware I don't need yet. This site is where I keep what I'm building and thinking about. Thanks for stopping by.
