02About

Who am I, what do I build, and why?

Hi, I'm Mahad 👋🏽 I started out in Karachi, studying computer science at FAST and then spending almost three years at Techlogix on a banking app used by more than two million people. That's where I learned the unglamorous half of the job: software has to work for everyone, every time, not only in the demo.

Then I moved to Erlangen for an M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence at FAU, and to Jessyworks, where AI isn't a demo either. It reads real documents for real tax firms and books them, so most of my time goes into the parts around the model: checks, tests, and tools that explain what they did.

I believe in small, honest software. Code that is easy to delete, workflows that prove their claims, and agents that know when to hand a decision to a person. I'd rather ship one thing that holds up than ten that impress for a week.

Away from the keyboard I'm usually experimenting with new tech, gaming on my PC, or reading up on hardware I don't need yet. This site is where I keep what I'm building and thinking about. Thanks for stopping by.

Got something to build?

If you're working on AI that has to hold up in production, I'd like to hear about it.
